Mock Exams & Exam Day

    How mock exams work

The 10 mock exams are full simulations of the real CIPLE A2, rebuilt from scratch after the founder sat the real exam in 2026. Every mock has the same structure and the same rules — including the uncomfortable ones, because that's what exam day feels like.

    The listening rule

Mock listening is exam-strict: each recording auto-plays exactly twice, with a short pause between plays — no scrubbing, no extra replays. It feels harsh coming from practice mode; that's the point. The real exam works exactly like this.

    How your result is calculated

    • Your result is weighted like the real exam: reading + writing 45%, listening 30%, speaking 25% — the 45 objectively-scored questions (20 reading + 25 listening) plus the AI scores for your two texts and your recordings. Pass = 55% or higher, with the CAPLE bands Suficiente (55–69), Bom (70–84) and Muito Bom (85+). Skip writing or speaking and the result is marked as an estimate.
    • Writing is graded by AI with a score and full feedback per task; speaking answers are transcribed and evaluated. These AI scores are shown alongside your result but don't move the pass percentage — on the real exam humans grade them separately too.
    • The paired interaction part is shown as a scenario to practice with a partner — no recording needed there.

Each completed mock awards 100 XP. Retakes are unlimited, and the exam list shows your attempt count and best score. Leaving mid-exam asks for confirmation — your timer doesn't pause.

Spread the mocks out. One mock early to see the format, then one roughly per week, saving two for the final stretch. Ten mocks in three days teaches you much less than ten mocks across two months.
