Your dashboard: readiness, streaks, XP & badges
5 min read Updated 2026-09-01
The dashboard is your home base: it shows how ready you are, keeps you consistent, and links into every study module. Here's what each widget means.
Exam countdown
Set your exam date and the dashboard counts down the days. Booked a date? Add it right away — pacing your prep against a real date is the single best motivator. You can change or remove the date anytime (also from Settings).
Exam date, reminders and your result
Set your exam date once (during setup, on the dashboard countdown, or in Settings) and three things follow. The countdown shows when CAPLE is expected to publish results for that session. With study reminders on, you get three exam emails — one month, two weeks and one week before — each with the plan for that stretch. And about six weeks after the exam we ask how it went: your result and, if you like, a few words for the next learner. No date yet? The dashboard shows the next CAPLE session you can still enrol for, with the enrolment deadline, and one tap makes it your exam date.
Today's session
The first card on the dashboard is a short plan for the day — usually four items, about 20 minutes: your due vocabulary (or the next set), one grammar module (the weakest one from your diagnostic if you have one), one reading or listening exercise, and one writing or speaking task. Saturdays add a full mock exam, and so does every third day once your exam is two weeks away. Items tick themselves off as you complete them; the list is fixed for the day, so finishing one thing doesn't shuffle the rest. Free accounts get a plan built only from the free content.
Readiness score
The 🎯 readiness meter is a weighted 0–100% score across all sections. Each section counts two things: how much of it you've covered (40%) and how your latest attempts actually went (60%) — the last five results in that section, so improvement shows up fast. A section you've only opened but never been measured in tops out at 70%.
- Mock exams — 30% (the closest thing to the real result)
- Grammar — 20% (diagnostic + session results)
- Listening — 13%, Reading — 12%
- Vocabulary — 10% (accuracy in Context mode), Writing — 10% (AI scores)
- Speaking — 5%
Labels move from Just starting → Getting there (31%+) → Almost ready (61%+) → Exam ready! (86%+).
Streaks 🔥
Any completed activity counts toward your daily streak. The streak card shows your current and longest streak plus a scrollable calendar of recent days. Two badges reward consistency: 7 days (Streak Machine) and 30 days (Iron Will).
XP and levels ⭐
Almost everything awards XP: 10 XP per correct grammar answer, 10 XP per vocabulary mode, 15 XP per reading text or listening exercise, 20 XP per writing task, 10 XP per speaking prompt, and 100 XP per mock exam. The ladder has 8 levels, from Iniciante (0 XP) to CIPLE Ready! at 3000 XP. Tap the level card to see the full ladder.
Badges
There are 12 achievements — from First Steps (your first exercise) to Grammar Guru (all 20 modules), Mock Champion (all 10 mocks) and Exam Ready (3000 XP). Tap any badge to see its progress bar and a tip for earning it.
Study modules & recent activity
The six module tiles show completed/total for each section, the Recent Activity list shows your last 10 completed items with scores and XP, and the Exame Simulado button tracks how many of the 10 mocks you've done.
Not sure where to start? Take the grammar diagnostic first — it finds your weak modules in about 5 minutes, so your readiness score starts moving where it matters.
